We had great excitement in our school before the Easter break, when we incubated and hatched three chicks. It really was wonderful to see the wonder of nature in action. Great news from the SFAI Spar 5-a-side competition, which took place on Friday 20th March. Our WETNS team, made up of boys from 5th and 6th Class finished top of their qualifying group, ahead of Portlaw, Piltown B and Gaelscoil na nDeise. Our results were: WETNS 2-1 Piltown B (Leon, Milo)

On Wed 7th, Little Red Kettle came to our school with their new play ‘Be Careful What You Wish For’. As always, it was brilliant fun, both educational and entertaining. Lots of children got to dress up and act in various roles, and the entire audience participated with great enthusiasm.

On Saturday December 6th, M.Dearbhaill took our choir of carol singers to Morris’s Hardware store for their Christmas Open Day. Everybody sang their hearts out, filling the place with Christmas cheer. We sold lots of raffle tickets and drank hot chocolate. A big thank you to Tony Hennessy who accompanied the choir on guitar.
