RELAY TAKEOVER 🏃🏼‍♀️🏃🏿‍♂️💨👏🏼

As part of Active School each class took part in the relay takeover today. The sun even came out for the occasion ☀️

4th class took part in a word relay race. Each team had to figure out the secret word by running to a set of cones with a hidden letter underneath each one.

Everyone had to pick up one cone and come back to their group with the letter they found underneath.

Once all the children ran and found a letter they had to un jumble the letters to figure out the secret word.

Lots of teamwork was done and everyone a lot of fun while getting their hearts racing and being super ACTIVE!!

Last week, our school had an incredible hands-on Seed Planting Workshop for our students! 🎉 Colman Power was on hand to deliver the workshop and teach our 5th Class pupils how to grow their own organic food.

The kids had an amazing time learning about sustainability, gardening, and how to grow their very own food from scratch 🌱✨.
This fantastic initiative was made possible by the LEAF Programme, a collaboration between our local libraries 📚 and GIY Ireland 🌿, promoting environmental education and green living. 🌍💚

A huge thank you to everyone Waterford Libraries and GIY Ireland who made this experience possible. The seeds of knowledge (and plants!) have truly been sown. Let’s watch them grow! 🌻🌼
