At Waterford Educate Together National School, we believe the best classroom can sometimes be outside! 🏞️ Outdoor learning helps our students connect with nature, spark creativity, and engage with their environment in hands-on, meaningful ways. 🌱

From science experiments to storytelling, every moment spent outdoors brings new opportunities to grow, learn, and explore. 🌟

We have recently invested over €30,000 in our outdoor learning space and polytunnel project support by Sláinte Care and Healthy Communities. We look forward to bringing you the full pictures and welcoming you to the official opening when the project is completed!

📣 Debate Success at Waterford ETNS! 🌟

A huge congratulations to Idhay, Oscar, Sarah, and all of M. Eve's 5th Class for their incredible win in the Concern Debate against St. James's NS!

The motion, "Every person in Ireland should be given a bike," was proposed by St. James's NS, but our team delivered a compelling opposition that secured their victory.

Special thanks to independent adjudicator John Conroy for his time and expertise.

We’re so proud of our students’ hard work, teamwork, and brilliant debating skills. The future is bright with leaders like these! 🗣️✨

Intercultural Fair at WETNS 🌎

Our annual Intercultural Fair took place yesterday evening and it was a hit once again! It was great to see so many people from our school community all together to celebrate and talk about different cultures, clothing, traditions, languages and to try traditional foods from various countries 🍱🥘🍜🥟🥪🥮🧁

All of our students country projects and artwork was displayed all around the hall. We are super proud of all the work that went into these. They filled the hall with brightness and creativity👏🏼😍🖌️✏️

Shoutout out to M. Becky, M. Carol and M. Claire (and our caretaker Brian) for organising and setting up the hall and all other teachers and staff members who helped in the lead up and on the night!

Thank you to everyone who came and a special thanks to the parents who set up a table. We were blown away by the efforts ☺️

Also a big thank you to @gardainsta @laochaswsp @millenniumyouthproject and @waterfordlibraries for setting up a table and sharing information with all on the evening 🙌🏼

Waterford Educate Together National School's Parents and Guardians Association is organising a Winter Collection to support Oasis House this holiday season. Let’s come together to help those in need! Oasis House provides fantastic support to those that need it and we are delighted to support this initiative.

🛍️ Items needed include:

Women's underwear

Dry goods (cereals, pot noodles, instant meals, jam, tea, coffee, soups, pasta meals, beans, peas, sugar)

New toys (especially for ages 0-2)

Baby grows and vests (especially for boys)

Baby wipes and toiletries

Gift sets for women

Teaspoons and tea towels

📦 Donation Box Location: School Reception
📆 Final Day for Donations: Thursday, 19th December, by 3 pm

They got up to lots of fun this week creating Oobleck, dancing raisins, lava lamps, dancing stick men and an amazing exploding volcano 👏🏼😱

A number of our students from 2nd class also went to the Theatre Royal to watch Mark the Science guy (connected to the Explorium and RTE) last weekend.
