I hope you are all keeping safe and well during this time.
We hope you enjoyed last week’s activities on the theme of love. I enjoyed seeing your drawings and creations about love that you sent me. All those who have sent me photos of your great work, I have sent you a certificate for your hard work. Well done! You can see some of the great work on our school website www.wetns.ie . If anyone else would like to send me any photos of drawings, projects or work they’ve completed on our ethical education themes please email me carolrussell@wetns.ie and I can share them with our school community.
This week we are continuing our ethical education theme of love.
We are all amazing special different people. What are all the things you can do? What are you good at? Are you kind? Are you a good listener? It’s important to love things about yourself. Chat together. Can you list all the things you love about yourself or others love about you? I have attached a template below if you would like to use it.
We are all part of a family and love our family. Families come in all different shapes and sizes. Chat together about the different families there might be. Check out this video on the different types of families https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b55uygG0Elc
This week I want to share with you a competition called “Different families, same love”. I have attached a document explaining the competition and how to apply. You will also find video links and resources in this document.
How do we take part?
Create a project based on the theme – this can be a picture, a poem, a story, a video, a song, a podcast, anything! Be as creative as you want!
Children can do an individual project or you can create a project as a family
Share your project with others. We would love to see your projects, you can email them to me carolrussell@wetns.ie and I can share them with our school community on our school website.
