Ethical Education

Good Morning everyone!
I hope you are all keeping safe and well during this time.
We hope you enjoyed last week’s activities on peace. I enjoyed seeing your peace symbols that you sent me. All those who have sent me photos of your great work, I have sent you a certificate for your hard work. Well done! You can see some of the great work on our school website www.wetns.ie . If anyone else would like to send me any photos of drawings, projects or work they’ve completed on our ethical education themes please email me carolrussell@wetns.ie and I can share them with our school community.
This month’s ethical education theme is love.Chat together about what it means to show love. For example being respectful, being kind and helpful to others, being a good friend or helping someone if they have a problem. Listen to and discuss this story called ‘I am love’ by Susan Verde https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yB-oFRRoWMs Maybe you could draw or write about love from the story. I would love to see your creations.
I also wanted to share some useful online resources that are linked to our learn together curriculum for you to explore at home. Our World Irish Aid Awards now have interactive at home learning resources. They have created an e-learning space where primary school pupils can learn about the work of Irish Aid, which is the Government of Ireland’s overseas development cooperation programme, the United Nations Global Goals and the wider world. The resources are updated weekly. http://www.ourworldirishaidawards.ie/at-home-learning/
Stay safe!
Kind Regards,
Múinteoir Carol
