Cross Country Competition at the R.S.C.

Cross Country 2018

Last Tuesday 32 athletes from 1^st to 6^th Class represented the school at the ‘Waterford Cross Country Championships’ in the RSC. The boys and girls had a fantastic day and represented their school with great pride. Thankfully the weather stayed fine and it was great to have lots of parents out supporting our athletics team. We were lucky to have 8 medal winners including two gold medals. The children who represented their school at the event were:

1^st Class: Gloria, Freyah, Max, Jacob, Ferna, Kalina, Martin and Tommy.

2^nd Class: Lily, Daisy, Rory, Nathan, Sophie, Bsma, Daniel and Alen.

3^rd Class: Kathlenn, Julia, Finn and Finlay.

4^th Class: Filip, Lennon, Doireann and Williow.

5^th Class: Ella, Amna, Conor and Fortune.

6^th Class: Pola, Avril, Kyle and Rudi.

Again a big well done to all the boys and girls. The short distance athletics competition will take place later in the year which gives everyone plenty of time to practice. A big thank you to M. Dearbhaill, M. David, M. Paddy and M. Sarah for their help on the day.
